Biography
Formed in Brooklyn in 2012 and now based in Austin, TX, Wildcat Apollo delves into psychedelic rock, electronic, shoegaze, dance and pop music to create their eclectic and infectious sound. Members Taylor Eichenseer (vocals, guitar), Aaron Eichenseer (bass), and Alex Margolin (drums) pull from a wide range of artistic influences, exploring and creating music in a collaborative group environment. Their self-titled debut album, recorded at The Bubble in 2013, features distorted guitars, triumphant vocals, airy synths, and pounding rhythms. Expanding on that aesthetic, the recently released Melt Into the Ocean was met with auspicious reviews from The Austin Chronicle: "Though lyrical themes wax oceanic, the propitious LP emanates mystically cosmic."
