After receiving much acclaim in the world of Classical music, including 2 scholarships for violin performance, Wren decided to pursue her passion for composition. Her natural gift to play a number of instruments combined with her talents for composition and improvisation give her a unique edge and have seen her collaborating and touring with International Artists (such as Irish-born Australian artist, Damien Leith, and Aria nominated producer, Yantra de Vilder), as well as gaining international recognition for her contemporary songs and music videos, some of the highlights being a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition 2015, receiving 3rd place in Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition judged by the Songwriter’s Association of Washington DC 2016 and winning the “Best Music Video” Award at the International Apex Film Festival in Rochester MN 2015. After receiving First Class Honours for musical composition and improvisation, Wren received an Australian Postgraduate Scholarship and is now studying a Doctor of Creative Arts with a focus on intercultural and cross-genre improvisation towards musical reinvention, stretching her irish-celtic vocals and violin improvisations across a multitude of traditional influences in the search for something truly unique.
